Booking Accommodation Rules and By-laws

Health, Safety and Wellbeing: This is a shared responsibility for everyone and you are required to:
● contribute to a safe, respectful and harmonious environment;
● advise the Lodge Managers of any incidents or hazards to ensure Lodge equipment and facilities can be maintained to a safe standard;
● ensure the safe use, handling and storage of any items or equipment in the Lodge;
● follow all health and safety directions required of you by the Lodge Managers;
● disclose to the Directors any known risks, including medical condition(s) to ensure these risks can be managed and reasonably accommodated for your stay at the Lodge;
● disclose to the Lodge Manager immediately if you or your guests develop even mild symptoms of infectious illness including cold, influenza or gastrointestinal symptoms during your stay at the Lodge. You are required to vacate the lodge immediately and you will be unable to return until you provide medical evidence that you are no longer infectious.
● adhere to Berghutte’s COVID-19 Safety Plan including physical/social distancing, hygiene and infection prevention and control measures.
● Smoking is not permitted on Berghutte premises and an additional cleaning charge of a minimum of $500 is payable for smoking in the bedroom, balconies or common areas. Smoking is not permitted on the front balcony outside the kitchen or in the car park or gardens if these areas are being used by other members or guests.
Dining arrangements:
● Accommodation rates for winter include breakfast 7 days a week and dinner 6 nights a week.
● Accommodation rates for summer packages bookings include breakfast and dinner.
● Prior to your stay at the Lodge, you must advise the Lodge Manager if you have any dietary requirements.
● You must advise the Lodge Manager in advance if you do not require a meal during your stay.
● Please check with the Lodge Managers in advance if they are able to cater for dinner for your guests from other Lodges in Thredbo (availability is based on physical distancing ratios in the Dining Room).
● Junior Member Meals – Junior Members (ages 14-17) are entitled to an adult meal.
● Chef's Night Off – Please ask the Lodge Manager about the Chef's night off each week during winter.
Mealtimes:
● The kitchen is off limits unless invited by the Lodge Manager.
● You are expected to be punctual for meals. Breakfast is from 7.30 am to 8.30 am only. Dinner is from 7 pm to 8.30 pm
● Dinner for Children is at 6 pm. Adults are required to supervise their children at all times during meals.
Dining and Communal cleaning arrangements: All members and guests are expected to assist with:
● serving and clearing of meals to tables including all crockery, cutlery and glasses.
● returning all crockery, glasses mugs etc to the kitchen after use outside of mealtimes and return to designated hospitality trolleys in the dining room.
● keeping communal areas clean, tidy and free of personal belongings.
Bookings Arrivals and Departures:
● Weekly Winter Season bookings are from Sunday to Saturday.
● Summer Season Packages Bookings are:
● If you arrive earlier than your check-in time, please do not expect to be given access to the Lodge.
● Room Allocations are posted on the entrance hall notice board and are advised when you check-in.
● Don’t forget to bring your bath towels and other bathroom linen.
● Bookings are allocated for beds, not rooms and sharing of rooms between different bookings may occur although prior notice will always be given by the Lodge Managers.
● The total number of members or guests staying at the Lodge will not exceed the agreed number determined by the Board regardless of room configuration.
● You must vacate your room on your day of departure no later than 10 am as follows:
● Leave the room clean and tidy and have cleared the room of all your belongings including the disposal of any rubbish into the garbage bins in the carpark outside room 6.
● Leave the used bed linen in the laundry bag provided in your room.
● Return any items belonging to Berghutte such as glasses or mugs to the designated trolleys in the kitchen.
Security:
● The Lodge Manager will advise you of the front door code once you have been checked-in to the Lodge. You must not disclose this code to any other person(s).
● Please ensure that all external doors remain locked and closed during your stay when not in immediate use.
● Do not invite any person to the Lodge without the prior permission of the Lodge Managers as every person needs to be checked-in and their personal details recorded and checked by the Lodge Managers.
● Berghutte Ski Club is not responsible for your personal belongings in the Lodge at any time. Please implement your own security measures whilst at the Lodge.
● Contact the Lodge Manager to obtain the WIFI password and do not disclose this to anyone not staying at the Lodge.
Member and Guest Fridges: Fridges are located in the Dining Room and the Basement off the games room for your beverages; storage of food is not possible in these fridges due to COVID-19 restrictions as there is no facility for your own food preparation.
Car Parking: Please note the following:
● parking at the Lodge is a privilege not a right and access is via the Lantern Apartments driveway and car park. You will maintain good relationships with our neighbours by entering and leaving via their car park as quickly as possible and in a respectful and courteous way and you will not park or block access in the Lantern Apartments.
● priority parking is for members first, then guests and only motor bikes or cars can be parked. You must seek prior permission from the Lodge Managers to park trailers, trucks or other types of vehicles.
● where, if and how you park in the Lodge car park is at the discretion of the Lodge Managers.
● parking in the Lodge car park is at your own risk and Berghutte is not liable for any loss or damage to your property.
● if the car park is at maximum capacity*, you may unload your vehicle in the carpark and then move it to a public car park (shuttle buses are available during winter and stop at the entrance to the Lantern Apartments).
● *only one vehicle per room can be parked in the Lodge car park to a maximum of 10 cars.
● if you park in the car park you will supply the Lodge Manager via the whiteboard in the Dining Room with your car registration number and your mobile phone number.
● you may leave your keys in the Dining Room for other members to move your car, however this is at your own risk.
● you MUST give adequate notice in advising other members and guests about your intention to remove or move your car from its parked position in the Lodge car park, if it is parked in. To minimise issues and assist in a smooth departure by car you must communicate your travel plans with other relevant members & guests during the prior evening. Please do not leave this until the morning when it may be too late.
● without early and clear communication of car travel plans you may be delayed and may delay others. It may be necessary to be available to move your vehicle at any time as directed by the Lodge Managers or at the request of other members and guests (including during the day, when you may need to return to the lodge from an activity).
Bike/Ski and Drying Room: The bike/ski storage room is located adjacent to the Entrance Hall. All equipment are stored here and are not permitted past the Entrance Hall. No SKI BOOTS or muddy footwear are to be worn inside the Lodge.
Guest Laundry and Ski Repair and Locker Room: currently not available due to COVID-19 Safety Plan requirements.
Parent and Carers: All children and adults with special needs must be supervised by a parent or carer at all times.
Member’s Responsibility: Members are responsible and liable for the actions of their guests at all times, including any fines, fees, penalties, damage, loss, outstanding payments or unsatisfactory behaviour. Please make your guests aware of booking terms and conditions, guidelines, rules and by-laws of the Club. These responsibilities include times when a member may not be staying at the Lodge at the same time as their guest.
Lost Property: We will endeavour to assist you to retrieve lost or forgotten personal property; however, no claim may be made for any loss. Lost property will be kept for a period of 2 weeks, and then any unclaimed items will be donated to charity or disposed of in general waste. Should you want an item returned, a reply-paid satchel must be sent to the Lodge for the return of the items to you by our Managers.
Please note:
● The Lodge is located in an extreme climatic environment which can range from bushfires to blizzards. You accept that Berghutte will not be responsible for any loss of enjoyment, injury, illness, changes or cancellation during your stay that is occasioned by the effects of bush fires, excessive snow, ice, rain and storm activity, infectious illness or any other natural phenomenon.
● Dogs and other pets are not permitted in the Kosciuszko National Park and no animals are permitted in the Lodge.
● Thredbo is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, please respect this by disposing of your garbage in the bins provided and not leaving food in rooms and on balconies.
● The Lodge Managers and the Directors reserve the right to ask you to leave the Lodge for any reason should we consider that it is not in the best interest of the Berghütte Ski Club. Your remaining accommodation services are non-refundable.

- 3 Day Mid-Week Package Tuesday 4pm to Friday 10am
